This site was created because someone very close to me had their father pass away. I noticed that almost every other film I was choosing to watch with her featured a deceased father as a heavy plot element. It would have been great to know beforehand if that was something that was in the movie to prepare her to view it or to ask her if she felt like skipping that movie. I will also try to cover movies that feature the loss of a mother or both parents as well. Hopefully this site will help those grieving the loss of a parent be more informed about their movie choices.
